About the Movie

In 1989, director Tim Burton breathed new life into one of the most complex and intriguing characters in popular culture. Burton cast off the 1960s camp depiction of the Dark Knight and launched for Warner Bros. one of the most popular comic book film series ever. Batman was the top-grossing movie that year and subsequently became a global phenomenon.

Tim Burton's vision and Michael Keaton's performance as the Caped Crusader combine perfectly to capture Gotham City's sinister atmosphere and Batman's brooding nature. Jack Nicholson stars in a memorable performance as the maniacal Joker and Kim Basinger is Vicki Vale, the beautiful and resourceful photojournalist desired by both men. "I've been in touch with Tim [Kring, creator] and he told me they were doing this and we left the door open for me to be involved, the trouble is really my availability," Quinto said. "I don't know that it would really even be possible. And it's a challenge for me because that experience and role and opportunity really changed my life completely and sent me on a path that I might not have otherwise have been on, but at the same time I'm very interested in forward momentum, I'm very interested in expanding and defying people's expectations of me."

"I don't know that going back to such a definitely iconic character would necessarily do that," Quinto continued. "So it's a larger question that I haven't had to answer because no one's actually given me an offer. We'll see. I'm glad they're doing it and I know that whether or not I'm involved that the fans will enjoy it."

The Power Puff Girls (TV) - New Series Coming To Cartoon Network

Time brings us the following:

Cartoon Network is bringing back a rebooted version of The Powerpuff Girls in 2016, the network’s chief content officer Rob Sorcher announced at the 2014 Licensing Expo in Las Vegas on Monday. The beloved TV series, created by Craig McCracken, originally ran from 1998 to 2005. Cartoon Network aired a 10th anniversary special in 2009 and produced a TV movie in early 2014 that featured Ringo Starr.

“The original Powerpuff Girls was a franchise phenomenon for Cartoon Network, paving the way for a new generation of innovative storytellers and enthusiastic fans worldwide,” Sorcher said in a statement. “We are calling these girls back into action based upon an overwhelming demand for sugar, spice and Chemical X.”

The show is still one of Cartoon Network’s top-grossing brands to date, with more than $2.5 billion in retail sales.

Marvel's Agent Carter (TV) - ABC Picks Up Series

Deadline brings us news that ABC has picked up the series, based on the character introduced in "Captain America: The First Avenger" and portrayed by Hayley Atwell.

Agent Carter follows the story of Peggy Carter (Atwell). It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark, all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life – Steve Rogers. Reaper creators Michele Fazekas & Tara Butters serve as executive producers/showrunners, Captain America: The First Avenger‘s Steve McFeely & Christopher Marcus wrote the script and also executive produce, along with Marvel’s Jeph Loeb. The script was finished more than four months ago (“the script is great,” ABC’s Paul Lee said back in January), the option on one-shot’s star Atwell had to be extended as it came up three months ago.

In addition, they've renewed the series "Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D" for a second season.

John Stephens will serve as an executive producer on the series.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past (2014) - TV Spot #8

The film hits theaters on 23 May.

The film will be based on the comic book storyline "Days of Future Past," which ran in Uncanny X-Men #141 and 142 back in 1981 during Chris Claremont and John Byrne's run and introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel's mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by Sentinels.

Batman: Assault On Arkham, the movie will be released Fall 2014 and takes place in the same universe as the highly successful Arkham video games. Talent from the franchise will be involved with the film, and it will contain "fresh" animation rather than reuse game footage. The video game series' next installment, Batman: Arkham Origins, hits shelves October 25th.

Fox To Develop Film Based On Millar's "Superior"

The Hollywood Reporter brings us the following:

The studio has picked up Superior, the comic book limited series written by Mark Millar and drawn by Leinil Francis Yu, for an adaptation to be produced by Matthew Vaughn.

The comic centers on a popular and athletic 12-year-old boy who loses his social life when he is stricken by multiple sclerosis. One night, an alien monkey grants the boy one wish and he chooses to become his favorite superhero, a Superman-like character named Superior.

After relishing his new life as a hero, the boy discovers that the monkey is actually a demon from Hell and he must sell his soul if he is to remain the powerful hero -- or return to his original body.

The comic was published between 2010 and 2012 via Icon Comics, a creator-owned imprint from Marvel.

A search for a writer to adapt the material will now begin.

The Flash (Game) - Tour Of Central City

This is early game footage from the unfinished Flash video game made by Bottlerocket Entertainment in 2008. When our publisher Brash folded we were about 6 months into full production with about a year still to go on the game so please excuse the roughness of how it looks at this stage. A lot of the core elements were just starting to surface and we were all really saddened that the game couldn't be saved. This video shows off a good chunk of the early production work on Central City. It also gives a good example of the various tricks Flash could pull off as well as really showcase the running speed we were shooting for. Enjoy!
